The pink coral-looking flowers are about 4 inches high, 7 or 8 inches long. The white "petals" of the right-hand flower are about 4 inches long; the little orange pentagon is less than an inch in diameter.

This is another sacred flower; I've heard various stories of its connection to Buddha: one is that Buddha's mother gripped this tree as she was in labor, took seven steps holding this flower and then delivered the Buddha child. Another story is that Buddha died under this flowering tree, head facing to the north, very peacefully. In any event, several temples and the Putthamonton garden have this growing prominently in their gardens. The flowers grow directly from the tree branches, each flower about 4 inches in diameter.

There are whole fields of the pink blooms below; note the smaller bloom (less than a centimeter) emerging directly from the leaflets at the base of the pink. The wonderful ladder blooms start as compact fans, unfold from above, growing to be over a foot long and dangling from tall stalks.
